FINBAR Wright's legion of local fans will be in their element later this month when the man himself takes to the stage of The Braid theatre.

Deservedly known as "Ireland's great romantic singer", Finbar will sing from his wide repertoire from 8pm on Thursday, April 24.

Always refusing to be stereotyped as only a classically trained "tenor", the eclectic and multilingual range of music he presents runs the gamut from spicey Spanish rhythms to Neopolitan love-songs, country to classical, from spirituals all the way to rock classics such as "Let It Be" and "La Bamba ".

Those who attend his Braid spectacular are guaranteed a memorable night courtesy of Finbar's sumptuous voice, easy style and engaging personality.

Finbar began his solo career in 1990 with the release of his first best-selling album 'Because' (produced by Phil Coulter) on the Sony label.
Since then he has recorded six solo albums, one of which, 'Whatever You Believe', (produced & conducted by the legendary Mike Batt), was a Christmas Number One in 1992, selling more than 100.000 units in the island of Ireland alone.

He has also recorded six albums with the world famous 'Irish Tenors' who have enjoyed phenomenal success all around the world, dominating the American Charts for the past five years.
