A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO EXTEND A WARM WELCOME TO FINBAR WRIGHT OF THE IRISH TENORS AND TO WISH HIM WELL DURING HIS VISIT TO THE PALMETTO STATE AS HE PERFORMS IN CONCERT WITH THE IRISH TENORS, MUSICIANS EXTRAORDINAIRE, ON MARCH 13, 2007, AT CHARLESTON'S GAILLARD MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM.

Whereas, Finbar Wright of The Irish Tenors, those distinguished interpreters of the great Irish musical tradition, will be performing with The Irish Tenors on March 13 at Charleston's Gaillard Municipal Auditorium, to the delight of the people of that city and of South Carolina at large; and

Whereas, winner of all major awards of the Irish music industry, including "Best Artist of the Year," Finbar Wright is a worthy member of such an illustrious performing trio as The Irish Tenors; and

Whereas, Finbar Wright and his fellow musicians, tenors Anthony Kearns and Karl Scully, have compiled one of the most remarkable success stories in Irish musical history, singing to enthusiastic audience reception on television, radio, and every legendary stage in the world and recording for their many admirers a wealth of chart-topping unforgettable music; and

Whereas, being now firmly established in the hearts of Americans, whether of Irish or other descent, Finbar Wright of The Irish Tenors and his colleagues, Anthony Kearns and Karl Scully, are most welcome visitors to the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extend a warm welcome to Finbar Wright of The Irish Tenors and wish him well during his visit to the Palmetto State as he performs in concert with The Irish Tenors, musicians extraordinaire, on March 13, 2007, at Charleston's Gaillard Municipal Auditorium.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Finbar Wright.
